Life Worth Living - week 14

Ecclesiastes 7:15-29 As we all look around, we see rampant unfairness in the world. Evil people flourish, while the righteous die young. Furthermore, we all know that, no matter how hard we try, we are imperfect, often sinful — even foolish. We find ourselves defeated time after time by the same habits and sins. Is there no answer? Is there no hope? Of course, we know from the New Testament that there is forgiveness, righteousness, and hope. There is, however, only one Source of these: God. So, will you trust yourself? Or will you trust God? That is the ultimate question.

Like Solomon, we can lose hope in the mess and seeming futility of life: our perspective seeing only the underside of the tapestry. Yet there are glimpses of the top-side. Glorious beauty in what God is weaving together for His glory and it can't help but inspire awe, worship and trust in His purposes through our lives.
