How to walk with someone through grieving
It can be hard to know how to help, and what to say when someone is going through the many stages of grieving. Download or print the PDF below for guidance on what IS help and what is generally NOT helpful when walking alongside someone through their grief.
The counseling ministry of Open Door Fellowship Church exists to help individuals and families experience the fullness of God’s grace in their lives. It is designed in line with the preaching, teaching and other ministries in meeting the needs of the body. ODF has one part time staff member, Nancy Conner, who ministers in one-on-one counseling. In addition, we have a team of trained lay counselors who meet with people who attend Open Door that have requested one-on-one counseling. We are not equipped to meet with everyone and we refer to professional counselors when the need arises. If interested in one-on-one counseling at ODF:
-Download Counseling Referral Form & drop it off to the ODF office, or mail to ODF 8301 N 19th Ave, Phoenix, AZ 85021 Attn: Louise Sedgwick.
